Message from OneHealthPort's President

Dear OneHealthPort Subscribers:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the provider community and our partners for making OneHealthPort's first year a tremendous success. Our initial goal was to make it possible for providers to easily and securely access the web sites of major local health plans and hospitals. Now, in response to your input and requests from the healthcare community, I am pleased to announce that OneHealthPort is expanding its basic service by offering three new services that support you and your patients.

Although some of these new services are fee-based, let me assure you that the basic OneHealthPort service—the ability to access our local healthcare sites with one password—will remain completely free to current and new subscribers. As we determine what types of services you need, we will continue to add both free and fee-based options to OneHealthPort's site.

If you have any questions about the new services or suggestions for other programs, I invite you to contact me personally at Rubin@onehealthport.com.

Sincerely,

Rick Rubin
President, OneHealthPort

New Services Soon Available on OneHealthPort
E-prescribing • Laboratory & Radiology Results • Online Claims Submission

OneHealthPort will soon offer three new services designed to streamline your office workflow and manage patient records. These specific services were selected because they respond to the urgent needs expressed by the local healthcare community and because they are delivered by high quality, reputable companies that understand those needs.

Beginning in October, you will be able to register for and have ongoing access to the following easy-to-use, competitively priced services, using your single OneHealthPort password:

  • E-prescribing – ChartConnect MedManager allows providers and staff to quickly and easily prescribe and refill prescriptions using any pharmacy in the U.S. (Available for a monthly subscription fee.)
  • Laboratory & radiology results – ChartConnect ResultManager brings outside documents into a result-management tool, connecting physicians with their laboratory, radiology and hospital partners, and even other community providers. (Available for a monthly subscription fee.)
  • Online claims submission – Office Ally offers an online claim submission and tracking solution for provider offices that currently submit paper claims. Office Ally delivers claims electronically to over 100 participating payers including First Choice Health Network, Group Health Cooperative, Premera Blue Cross, and Regence BlueShield. Available for paper claim submitters who currently are unable to submit electronic claims from their practices.

Although some of OneHealthPort's new online services require providers to pay a fee, the basic OneHealthPort service remains TOTALLY free for existing and new subscribers (all costs are paid by participating health plans and organizations).

Easy registration through OneHealthPort!
OneHealthPort administrators may sign up for these additional online services directly though OneHealthPort. You will receive a "OneHealthPort Update" to announce when each service is live.

Interested in more information? Attend an online seminar!
To learn more about ChartConnect's ResultManager and MedManager, OneHealthPort invites you to join Greg Jewell, ChartConnect's CEO, for a free online seminar at noon on Wednesday, October 25. He will provide an overview of both services and answer your questions.

Results of OneHealthPort's Online Survey
How did your answers compare?

Thanks to all of the OneHealthPort subscribers and administrators who took OneHealthPort's first online survey. More than 1,300 of you answered questions about your jobs, OneHealthPort and our participating sites.

Most of our survey respondents reported that they use OneHealthPort daily. According to the survey, the top three benefits of using OneHealthPort are:

  • Eliminates calls and faxes (85%)
  • Saves times (80%)
  • Improves job satisfaction (50%)

And here are some of your comments:

  • "It's awesome for referrals."
  • "I love it—it's a time saver."
  • "Increases staff efficiency."
  • "Can access anytime."
  • "Peace of mind."
  • "Great for checking referrals after hours."

Although more than 80% of you are satisfied with OneHealthPort, there's always room for improvement. What do you want? According to the survey, more dental and mental health benefit details, more referral information, and more training. This feedback is invaluable and we have passed all of the survey results and comments to participating sites.

We're also very excited that 189 of you offered to be on OneHealthPort's advisory panels. We'll be in touch about more surveys and focus group opportunities.

Finally, congratulations to the prize winners whose names were drawn at random from among the survey respondents: Sally Schaeffer from Walla Walla Eye Center won the mini iPod; Cathy Shaw from Ocean Beach Hospital won a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate; and Donna Estill from Island Prosthetics in Clinton received the $25 Nordstrom gift certificate.
